Patterson Arrested for Entering Without Breaking into a local Hunting Camp

Robert Scott Patterson, Jr., 34 years old, is being held in the WV Central Regional jail on a $30,000 bond for the charge of Entering without Breaking in case number 22-M07F-00047.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Trp. J.D. Richards on the 11th of October, 2022, he received a walk-in complaint from Tracy Jo Quick on October 8th, 2022 regarding her property being stolen/broken into at 27306 South Calhoun Highway on the date of September 20, 2022. Mrs. Quick’s husband had checked on the property on the 22nd of September 2022 and noticed that 1 Real Time Camping chair worth approximately $23, 2 Ozark camping chairs totaling $15 together from the hunting cabin, and additionally 2 Bushnell game cameras totaling approximately $100 together and 2 (32gb) Sandisk SD cards totaling $36 together, the grand total of all being $174 were missing. Trooper Richards was shown a separate game camera picture of a male with a bandanna on his face who was identified by the victim, Trooper Richards and Cpl. J. B. Hunt as Robert Scott Patterson, Jr.

He had traveled past a gate with a “no trespassing sign” on it, and back down the hill with the items from the hunting cabin in his hands.

Trooper Richards and CPL Hunt of the West Virginia State Police requested a search warrant for the residence of the accused and was granted said search warrant from Magistrate Lora Davis. The officers executed the search warrant that same day and spoke with the accused. Patterson gave a mirandized statement where he admitted to entering the hunting cabin and separately stealing the game cameras. He was arrested on October 11, 2022 for the aforementioned crime and incarcerated on the 12th of October 2022.
