Vehicle Discovered Submerged in Pond by Crummies Creek Road

West Virginia Department of Highways staff, Steven Cunningham, was traveling on South Calhoun Highway at approximately 8:15 when he noticed the tires of a vehicle sticking up from the pond just before the Crummies Creek Road. A vehicle submerged about. 10-15 feet from the pond bank. He notified Calhoun 911, at which time the Arnoldsburg and West Fork Fire Departments were dispatched along with law enforcement and Minnie Hamilton Ambulance Service.

The vehicle has been removed from the pond and Route 16 has been closed from the Y in Arnoldsburg to the mouth of Crummies Creek Road while authorities continue their investigation.
