The Cymbopogon martinii is a type of tropical grass that is part of the Poaceae family. It is native to India and is a type of tropical grass, that is similar to Citronella and Lemongrass. However it has more of a rose-like aroma, resulting in its given name, Palmarosa. Additionally, it can grow up to 5 m tall and last for 5 years before needing to re-plant.
Palmarosa Essential Oil is sometimes known as Indian Geranium as it shares a similar aroma to Geranium with aromatic notes of florals. This oil was traditionally used in Ancient Chinese medicine to promote skin health.
