Briana Blankenship Returns Home & Brings Indiana with her

Calhoun Middle High School graduate Briana Blankenship, who many remember as trumpet player extraordinaire, now serves at the Indiana Wesleyan University Division of Music. In 2020 she became the first Director of Athletic Bands to head the first-ever Marching Band at IWU.  In addition to directing the Marching Wildcats, Ms. Blankenship is in charge of the IWU Wildcat Pep Band, assists with the IWU Wind Ensemble, and is on the Music Education faculty.

Briana remains an active performer, guest conductor, and clinician.  She holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), College Band Directors Association (CBDNA) and Indiana Bandmasters Association (IBA).

On Friday, March 8th at 6 p.m. Briana and the IWU Wind Ensemple will be hosting a concert/clinic at Calhoun Middle High School in the auditorium.

The Community is encouraged to attend this event and welcome Briana and Indiana Wesleyan University to Calhoun County, West Virginia.
