Instructor Carl Collins announced that two of his students, Tyler Nelson and Zach Brannon, have received their SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) plate Certificates through the Welding Program at Calhoun Gilmer Career Center. The Career Center program is designed to assist students in building a knowledge and technical skills base in multiple aspects of Welding. Upon successful completion, students will be career ready for entry level positions in the Welding Field.
