Carole Ann Hosey, 85 of Grantsville, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Center in Charleston, WV; following an extended illness.
She was born June 1, 1939 in Burnsville NC; daughter of the late Harm and Scottie (Sturms) Kelly.
Carole is a graduate of Calhoun County High School, class of 1957 and a graduate of Glenville State College with a Master’s in education. She retired as a teacher from the Calhoun County Board of Education in 1995, where she taught typing and business. In her spare time, Carole enjoyed spending time at home, traveling, spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible, spending time with family and friends, and she was an avid reader.
On December 27, 1958 Carole was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Hosey, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2018.
Surviving is 1 son, Steve Hosey of Poca, WV; 3 grandchildren, Kyleigh Hosey, Kinley Hosey, and Keyton Garrett all of Grantsville, and 2 great-grandchildren, Annistyn Wease and Grayden Detweiler also of Grantsville.
Along with her parents and husband, Carole is preceded in death by a sister, Lila Wade.
Carole’s request for cremation has been honored and the family will have a memorial service at the later in 2025.
In lieu of Flowers the Family request memorial contributions be made the Bethlehem Baptist Church in honor of Carole and Ronald.
