On July 8 there will be a celebration of 100 years for the Creston Community Building. The event will be at 2 P. M. at the old school house that was built to replace the old two room, two story building which, obviously was less than par for when the children walked upstairs the dirt would fall down on the children in the downstairs room. Al Tichnell, 88 of Deever’s Fork passed away. He formerly sang and played at the Creston sings.
Brian dePue, 83, who lived on the Barr Cut road passed away. Among other things he farmed the land that John Boggs gave to his ancestor Benniah dePue. John Boggs was one of the signers to create Roane County.
Robert B. Newman III, 88, of Marietta passed away. His grandfather was a prominent businessman in Creston circa 1900.
The Deep State folks want Gov. Jimmy Justice to run against Broadway Joe so either way “they win”. Pierre Delecto, a/k/a Little Mittens Romney, is actually backing the Maserati driving fellow who lives on a yacht down in the lower Potomac swamps. It was reported that the New York Times had a reporter at the Raleigh County tax sale to observe “Big Jim’s ” properties sell. A real coal miner, Chris Rose, was calling in Calhoun County.

The federal government owned TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) is a huge producer of coal fired electricity. The government men said they planned to close the coal plants and build natural gas fired electric plants but the “green weenies” have now sued to block the change.
Ira Lynch has been on the mend after spending some “quality time” at the hospital. He was told it would be a “little surgery” but that was not how matters worked out.

Exxon, the Rockefeller family flagship company, announced that the firm has a team working to double the amount of oil produced from fracked wells. Meanwhile some call for no more oil & gas and now New York state even wants to ban the sale of natural gas after 2025. If they don’t get the pixie dust factory up & running they all might freeze in the dark as even firewood is banned there.
EOG Resources [formerly known as Enron] announced that drilling in the Permian is to continue but that the firm intends to increase drilling in the Ohio Utica shale. Enron has interests at Creston.
Some say that the Creston news talks about things far away from Creston. While at one time Creston was mostly not impacted by what happens elsewhere; although the eruption of Krakatoa in the then Dutch East Indies in 1882 caused such drastic global cooling that the Creston corn & wheat crops were frozen & ruined in June which, at the least, caused starvation locally.
One local couple got to spend last week with the Wuhan Kung Flu virus. When the Big Eared One stopped gain of function research. [making animal virus more virulent and able to transfer among humans] Dr. Fauci sent the technology from the Univ. of North Carolina, along with US taxpayer dollars, to germ warfare lab operated by the Chinese Communist People’s Liberation Army in Wuhan China. There the virus infected the researchers and then “escaped” and spread around the globe. Dr. David Martin gave a talk about gain of function to the EU in Belgium and the talk is findable on the world wide web and is worth listening to. Gain of function research started in 1965 and Pfizer found that with corona viruses vaccines did not work as such were tried to prevent disease in swine and dog breeding operations. Pfizer had their first spike protein vaccine in 1990 to put matters in perspective.
It is now reported that in Australia 99% of COVID hospitalizations & deaths are among the vaccinated. The US government stopped keeping track of such matters but since the vaccine there have been 600,000 excess deaths among children & young adults and this is from CDC reports.
CNX, part of the Standard Oil empire, announced the sale of some “non-producing” properties for $125 million to someone.
The Henry Hub for natural gas price is now $2.73/MMBTU and Rystad Energy [folks who know?] say that the second half of the year will have an average price of $2.93 “as the situation will change”.
The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude fell to $68.16/bbl. with condensate fetching just $52.16/bbl. and Marcellus & Utica light bringing $59.16 & medium $68.16/bbl.
