Early Morning Accident Nearly Lands Couple in Creek

Calhoun Control dispatched Minnie Hamilton Health System and the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department to the scene of a one vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 33/119 and Rt. 16 South Calhoun Highway around 2:15 a.m. on August 21.

The accident victims were Jordan and Steven Johnson, who nearly drove their 2010 Ford F150 truck into the creek, directly across from the intersection. Steven was transported to Roane General Hospital for treatment, and Jordan appeared to be uninjured.

There was no report as to what caused the accident. The Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department remained on scene until the wreckage was removed.
