On December 7th, 2023, Home Confinement Officer Mitchell McKown was conducting a Home Confinement check on John Henry McCune, Jr. at 115 Sandstone Lane, in Orma, WV. When McCune was informed that he was going to be drug screened he informed Officer McKown that he would fail for methamphetamine as he had used it earlier in the day.
Following a search of the home, McKown found a blue meth smoking pipe and a plastic baggie containing white powder. The white powder was field tested and was presumptively positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Henry McCune, Jr. was arrested for possession and transported to the WV State Police office for processing. McCune is being held at the North Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods, WV on a $100 cash or surety bond awaiting a hearing.
