As I perused the Current Bills going before the senate, Senate Bill 206 caught my eye. But it had to catch it fast because it was going about 80 miles an hour! As that’s the newly proposed speed limit for interstate driving.
If confession is good for the soul, I could say that I may have been guilty of traveling at that rate of speed on more than one occasion. But should I? Or maybe a better question is should everyone?
Senator Robert Karnes who represents the Counties Nicholas, Webster, Pocahontas, Randolph, Upshur, Pendleton, Grant ( in part) must have a need for speed as he introduced the Bill on January 11, 2024.
The bill still has to go through the necessary process to become law, but if it does, the new law would state as follows:
