For decades public swimming pools have played a vital role in the community, especially during the summer months. Countless families have fond memories of embarking on aquatic adventures at their local swimming pool.
What makes public pool facilities special are the people and programs that work together to provide those meaningful experiences for families. The impact can be seen through the efforts of The 1982 Foundation staff and the Saundra Johnson Aquatic Center’s putting the time in to host special events.
This weekend’s “Shark Attack” movie night and night swim was a great success, as has been the many other efforts of those who work to create the success story of new pool.
