Today is WVU Day of Giving! Jones’ Legacy Continues

In 2018, Shannon Jones-Johnson rallied 4-H Alumni, Family, and Friends to fully endow a fund in memory of her parents, Sue and Randall Jones. Sue had been the 4-H Extension Agent in Calhoun County for over 30 years until her 2002 retirement.

When promoting the account and working to get it funded, Shannon shared her goal for the account was to see it used to provide Calhoun youth state and national opportunities. Since then, the Sue and Randall Jones Memorial Fund has been used to offset the cost (or fully fund the cost) of multiple youth attending Alpha I State 4-H Camp. It has supported a youth traveling to a National Horticulture contest, and over the last two years, it has assisted with the costs of Calhoun Delegations attending Ignite by 4-H in Washington, D.C. , where they had the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, hear from renowned speakers, and explore our nation’s capital.

While the fund is endowed, we hope to watch it grow in the coming years resulting in more funds each year to provide even more opportunities for Calhoun youth! Please consider making a donation to the Sue & Randall Jones Memorial TODAY!
