Around 7 a.m. Sunday morning, Calhoun Control dispatched the Grantsville and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Departments to a structure fire at 256 Court Street in Grantsville. The Head to Toe Salon, owned by Lisa Wilmoth, was in the front of the multi unit building.
The amazing photos taken by Jerry Mann show the level of fire that left Lisa without a business and tenant Angela Miller without a home just a few days before Christmas. Neither renter had insurance and would likely appreciate any help that the community could offer. Another apartment was rented by Bonnie Brown, who passed away last week.
Building owner Kevin Postalwait was very saddened that he cannot rebuild the unit due to it being in the flood plain. This is another business loss for the Town of Grantsville as well as lost revenue for the water, sewer and taxes.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
