Photo Album of Students Present to receive certificates

Prinicipal Gina Ganoe Stump provided a power point presentation of the Calhoun Middle High School’s recent accomplishments and academic rankings.

Deirdre Purdy, who was instrumental in raising funds for the auditorium lighting and sound, requested to keep the 501c3 fund active for the purpose of raising more funds to update the Calhoun Middle High School library with needed books and software.

No mention was made of the exiting School Board member Tammy Yoak, but Board President Jenna Jett ask the three other Board members present, Horst Motz, Jimmy Gregory and Mitchell Morgan if they would like to go into executive session to determine how the board vacancy would be filled, whether by appointment by them or if interviews would be conducted to hire a replacement. Horst Motz said that no executive session should be entered, and that the people would want the School Board to interview possible candidates.

For additional actions and hires, see School Board Agenda in previous meeting announcement.
