For decades Grantsville, West Virginia has not only had a low voter turnout, but a low number of choices as well with few people willing to step out and put their name on the ballot.
While the number of candidates is not massive this year, there are still choices to be made and vital decisions that can change the outlook for our community’s future. Your votes matter now more than ever!
We need candidates open to conversation and a belief in the potential of the people. For too long we have settled for being on the low end of the rung for economic, educational and recreational opportunities. We’ve allowed politicians to dictate what or who was allowed to control the region. Our families have suffered because of it.
If you live in Grantsville, you are in the County seat. The very location that business and industry leaders look to for determining whether or not our county is worthy of consideration for their business location. We need officials in place that are ready to represent us and bring business back to Calhoun County.
If you live outside of Grantsville or are a Grantsville Business, encourage your friends and customers who are eligible to vote to be your voice.
