Dennis Wayne Bailey, age 29, was arrested in Calhoun County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, 2nd offense. Bailey is required to register as a Sex Offender from a conviction in Roane County on January 9, 2017 where the victim was a juvenile. He is required to register in the county he resides, which was most recently Calhoun. He was required to register in the month o August (the month of his birth) because his birthdate is August 4, 1993. As of September 1, 2022 the defendant violated the terms of the sex offender registry and has not registered at the WV State Police Detachment since April 12, 2022. If the Defendant were to move out of the State of West Virginia he would have been required to register prior to moving. At the time of the submission of this complaint the defendant had also absconded from parole. The defendant had a prior conviction for failure to register on February 6, 2020.
