Giant Turn out for the Lori Parsons Benefit

While the exact number of those attending the event is not known by Ridgeview News, from all appearances of the crowd that filled the Brooksville Family Life Center, a guesstimate would be around 500 people, maybe more, maybe less. People who came to show their support for Lori Parsons who was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer in her colon.   Less than .5 of 1% patients diagnosed with colon cancer have this type of cancer.  It is appendiceal cancer. Or cancer of the appendix.

Calhoun County is not unlike many small rural areas, where everyone knows everyone, but what is probably not so common in many parts of the world, is the way the community pulls together for someone who’s facing a life altering event, such as the one that Lori now faces.

Lori is a much loved Elementary School Teacher at Pleasant Hill, a woman of God, a Doterra Oil fanatic, a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece and all around wonderful person. The event was evidence of her impact and influence and it is the prayer of her people that she is soon well and on the other side of this part of her story.

Please pray for her!
