MONITORING REQUIREMENTS NOT MET FOR GRANTSVILLE MUNICIPAL
WV3300701
Our water system violated State drinking water requirements. Even though these were not emergencies, you, as our customers, have a right to know what happened and what we did to correct the situation.
We are required to receive written approval from the WVBureau for Public Health Commissioner prior to making any long-term treatment changes in the method used to artificially adjust fluoride levels. We did not obtain approval from the Commissioner to cease water fluoridation and failed to maintain optimum artificially adjusted fluoride levels.
What should I do?
There is nothing you need to do at this time.
What happened? What is being done? (Describe corrective action)
Fluoride feeder was shut down due to not being able to get granular sodium fluoride during Covid 19 and what was available was a powder fluoride that gummed up feeder and we couldn’t keep the PPM right, now that world has opened back up sodium fluoride is available and the Fluoride saturator is back online
