Creston folks missed out on all the car chase action on W. Va. 14, Mayberry, Shepherd’s Ford, etc. Seems this local girl and her Ohio boyfriend who had daddy’s car decided to elude police who gave chase. The unlucky fellow did learn that a Malibu could get through high water at the Left Reedy ford but daddy’s car is now, well not fixable. Seems some will go to extreme ends to “earn a vacation where the cots are made of concrete”.
It was reported that a “travel after dark” outfit is trying to lease oil & gas for $500/acre as, perhaps, they know something that the rest of us do not and then the firm can sell the leases for $5,000/acre, Folks need to be very careful and, if approached, let someone from the old Wirt Oil & Gas group know as help is available before one signs. Some folks have family members who signed documents prior to 1900 and the family is obligated to “the sanctity of contracts”. Back then $300 was “a lot of money”.

The local area continues to have folks sick with various influenzas, some respiratory and others that involve the digestive tract. It was noted that the policy of the USDA under the prior administration dealing with “bird flu” caused a shortage of eggs and damage to farmers but did little to deal with the virus that may have been concocted in a USDA facility. It was noted that the disease does not cross the border into Mexico which seems downright amazing that a “secure border” would stop migratory birds, coyotes, the road runner and those slipping eggs over the border. A local fellow has ocean front lots for sale in Spring Valley.
Mr. & Mrs. Ricky Tucker were attending to business in Elizabeth.
Ryan & Jessica Marks, Rylynn, Brooklyn & Izzy, A. C. & Mary, Thomas & little Curtis Marks, J. P. Marks, John & Debbie Griffin, were all calling on Sis & Cooter Marks & Ralph on the occasion of a birthday celebration for Brooklyn, J. P. & John.
Some folks are getting work done on equipment so it will be ready to go come spring.
The new leader in Argentina gave Elon Musk a chainsaw to help cut government fraud, waste & abuse. It is now clear how some are able to maintain a high profile without visible means of support. The Senile One “gave” adult novel writer Stacy Abrams $2 billion for her climate NGO. Who knew?
Different local folks or folks who have local property have been approached to buy “hunting land”. A Burning Springs native noted that something was up and obviously now is not the time to sell for he felt just not right. Some of it is tied into various Ohio “slicksters”.
The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil slipped to $69.40/bbl. With condensate (super mountain high test) bringing $51.40/bbl. with Marcellus & Utica light fetching just $58.40/bbl. One local producer is paying condensate price for Pennsylvania grade crude oil. The NYMEX price of natural gas rose to $4.28/MMBTU, the highest in three years.
