Last weekend I made the most delicious pie from the site “Crazy for Crust.” The pie was a no churn cherry ice cream pie made with a store bought chocolate crust and three other ingredients. One can of cherry pie filling, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 small tub of cool whip. The easiest recipe ever! Mix the pie filling, milk and whipped topping together and pour into the chocolate crust. I kid you not, if you like chocolate and cherry, this dessert is a summer dream!
This weekend I determined to ramp it up a smidge with peach pie filling! I made my own graham cracker crust using two sleeves of graham crackers, crumbed very fine, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 stick of butter melted and pressed into the bottom of a 9×13 pan. I actually used a plastic container with lid for easy storage. I then mixed two cans of peach pie filling, 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk and 1 tub of cool whip. I put it in the freezer for about an hour and then topped it with another cool whip tub. To ad a snippet of flavor I mixed cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkled across the top. Oh so amazingly good and on these super hot days we’ve been having, it hits the sweet spot perfect!
I’d love it if you’d send me your summer recipe delights!
