Ada Carpenter (Houchin), 94, of Lodi, Ohio, departed this life peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Ashland, Ohio.
She was born on September 27, 1930, in the vicinity of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Guy and Dora Price Carpenter.
Ada, the beloved wife of the late Forest Houchin. She is survived by her three devoted sons: Richard Houchin of Lodi, Ohio; Gene Houchin of Jeromesville, Ohio; and Jerry Houchin of Chloe, West Virginia. A cherished grandmother to eleven, a great-grandmother to eleven, and a great-great-grandmother to one. All of whom held a very special place in Ada’s heart. She was sadly preceded in death by two of her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Rd., Arnoldsburg, WV 25234, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Jim Lough officiating.
