Within each of their math classes, 6th through 8th grade students competed for percent progress and percent growth, in an ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces) challenge second semester, at Calhoun Middle/High School. ALEKS is a web-based learning program that meets students where they are individually, using artificially intelligence, and fills in skill gaps as well as challenges them with mathematical concepts. Students can work on ALEKS anywhere there is internet whether at home or school. There accounts will remain active throughout the summer, this will also be offered during Virtual Summer School. Each student has an ALEKS log in, in 6th through 8th grade and has been working towards their grade level goals. Pictured are our first second semester winners. Congratulations to all!
