Bands Announced, Tickets Available for Inauguration Day Celebration of WV Concert

The Celebration of West Virginia Concert to feature performances from award-winning

and Shenandoah
CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Prosperity Group announced that the recipients of Pandora’s Billionaires Plaque, The Marshall Tucker Band, and the Grammy-award winning band, Shenandoah, will perform at the Celebration of West Virginia Concert on Monday. The concert will take place at the Charleston Coliseum on January 13 at 5:30 PM, following the swearing-in, the inaugural parade, and other festivities.

“Music brings people together, and we are excited to gather to celebrate West Virginia and all that our shining state in the mountain has to offer,” said Governor-elect Patrick Morrisey. “It is sure to be a great night filled with festivities for all West Virginians to enjoy as we celebrate our great state and what the next four years of winning for West Virginia will look like.”

Background on musical guests
The Marshall Tucker Band is an American rock band with over 20 albums in their discography, with several receiving gold and platinum accolades. Songs like “Fire on the Mountain” and  “Heard It in a Love Song” charted in the US and abroad.

The Grammy-award winning band, Shenandoah, has released ten studio albums with three of them certified as gold. The band has also topped the charts with several number one hits, to include “The Church on Cumberland Road,” and “Sunday in the South” among others.
