Barbara Lee Jarvis, 90, originally from Spencer, WV, peacefully passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Bower’s Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Barbara was born on September 6, 1933, in Spencer, WV; daughter of the late Robert Madison Harper and Velva McMullen Harper.
Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Price and second husband, Troy Jarvis. Also preceding are siblings: Glenn Harper, Lucille Harper McCune, Robert Russell (Sonny) Harper, Patsy Harper Darden, Danny Ray Harper, Katy Harper, Betty Harper Rhor, and Jackie Harper O’Brien. Barbara is also survived by her siblings: Jim Harper, Clemmie Harper, Richard Harper, and Georgia Harper Wilson, all of Spencer, WV; Mikel Harper of Mt. Nebo and David Harper of Summersville, WV.
Barbara is survived by her son, Donald Eugene Price and wife Ann Kirkpatrick of Daniels, WV; granddaughter, Amber Fox and husband JT of Glenville, WV; grandson, Tyson Price and wife Britni of Glenville, WV; and three great-grandsons, Keaton Burch, Hudson Fox, and Tully Price.
Barbara was a Christian and found solace and inspiration in her faith throughout her life. She enjoyed playing guitar and singing, drawing, painting, and spending time with her loved ones.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., with Bob Bailey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
