Bonnie Louise Brown (Barnes), 77, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Miletree Center in Spencer following an extended struggle with kidney failure.
Born May 20, 1947, in Mt. Zion, Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late William O. and Cecil Barnes (Booker).
Bonnie worked as an RN nurse and as Nursing Administrator for approximately 34 years.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by sisters Janet Contrill and Shirley Ball, and brother Glen Boatright.
Surviving are her two sons, SFC (RET) Craig Sturm of Marietta, Ohio, and Eric Sturm of Marshville, N.C.; grandchildren, Krieg and Lincoln Sturm of Panama City, Panama, Hayley Sturm of Marietta, Ohio, SPC Brogan Sturm currently stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky and Camden Sturm of Marietta, Ohio, and sister, Vonetta Lanham (Boatright) of Tennessee.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Grantsville, WV, with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be shared at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
