JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Branch Staff/Customer Service Representative

LOCATION: All Branches

REPORTS TO: Retail Manager

Job Summary:

The branch/CSR staff consists of individuals that are trained to be multi-faceted, assuming various duties and tasks, with a knowledge of all bank products to enable responses to customers with questions or concerns. All bank employees are expected to provide excellent customer service to each person by exhibiting professionalism, courtesy, and confidence. Customer data is to remain confidential.
The branch/CSR staff welcomes customers to the bank and guiding them into the proper deposit account services to suit their needs. Employee is also responsible for supporting customers and operations in these products.

Specific Functions:
• Teller functions including:
➢ Paying and receiving cash and check transactions to be posted to customer deposit accounts.
➢ Acceptance and processing of loan payments.
➢ Redemption of US Government savings bonds.
➢ Adequate knowledge and efficient use of the teller system for accurate and
balanced transactions.
➢ Processing of cash advances.
➢ Processing third party payments.
➢ Processing wire transfer requests from customers.
➢ Acceptance of safe deposit box payments and posting payments.
➢ Transactions are to be handled with great care to ensure proper posting to
customer accounts.
• Protection of bank assets through knowledge of regulations related to the position
and all bank procedures including robbery.
• Inquiry of customer accounts and problem solving.
• Research history of all types of accounts using current software for customer
assistance.
• Administrative assistance, such as filing, type-written correspondence, answering
the telephone, etc.
• Knowledge of safe deposit box procedures.
• Cross selling of bank products and services.
• Originating new deposit accounts.
• Assisting customers with changes to existing accounts, check orders, card orders
and disputes, stop payments, holds, etc.
• Fulfill all Bank Secrecy Act provisions as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
• Cash handling skills
• Basic computer and data retrieval skills
• High School diploma
• Interpersonal skills, ability to work with customers and co-workers
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Must be able to handle various duties at one time
• Flexible work schedule
• Knowledge of all banking products and services.
• Knowledge of job-related bank software.
• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
