Calhoun County Park lit up the skies in celebration of Independence Day at their annual July 4th event. Will Freed, Bruce Jones and John Richards filled the air with sounds of multiple genre’s of music by Calhoun’s (past and present) talented trio. The hillside was scattered with families, many who set through a few heavy, but brief down pours to listen while many of the children bounced to their heart’s content in Bouncy Houses at the top of the Ridge.

The park continues to work on the donated playground equipment located by the picnic shelter as the park grows into to a wonderful county treasure that often goes underutilized.

Also enjoyed throughout the evening was wonderful food from the Park concession located in the barn.
