The Calhoun County Republican Executive Committee met at the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 for the purpose of selecting three names to present to the Calhoun County Commission as candidates for the vacant Commission seat.
All eight members were present, Chairman Roger Propst, ViceChair Shari Johnson, Treasurer Amanda White, Secretary Melissa West, Tony Arthur, Crystal Arthur, Steve Boggs and Eric Lupardus.
Each Republican Committee member was given a ballot with the seven names of those who had applied for the Commission seat, and a blank area for a write in. Larry Whited monitored the ballot box as each member made their selections on a secret ballot and place the ballot in the box themselves. After all votes were cast, Larry Whited tallied the votes and read the results.
The top three votes received was, Eric Lupardus, Roger Propst and Dennis Spaur.
Those three names were taken to the Commission office on Friday, October 13th, 2023.
