Calhoun Gilmer Career Center Hosts a Well Attended Job Fair

The Calhoun Gilmer Career Center, in an effort to connect businesses and organizations with students who will soon be seeking employment opportunities, hosted an all day Career Fair for any Freshman through Senior from the County Schools. A wide variety of employers and schools came to present their opportunities and allow students to see their future potential in the industries of their choice. WV Carpenters Training Center Representatives James Cooper and Nate Beha. The Training Center accepts applications for the Commercial Carpentry Apprenticeship to train in the fields of Professional Carpenter, Floor Covering Professional, Interior Systems Carpenter, Heavy Construction, Professional Pile Driver and Scaffold Erector. The West Virgnia Laborers Join Apprenticeship and Training Committee (www.wvccl.org )located on 170-acres in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. They are equipped with classroom buildings, dormitory with dining facilities, a one acre mock hazardous waste site, and a newly constructed 8,750 sq. foot training bay allowing continued year round classroom instruction and hands-on training
