Calhoun Plays Tough Against Nicholas

On Thursday September 7 Calhoun Middle School Football team travelled to Nicholas County to play Summersville Middle School. Calhoun faced a tough team who is typically at the top of the standing in our conference. While Calhoun was not able to come away with the win, falling short 34-12, they played a good game and played Summersville tough. Coby Staples led the offensive attack for the Red Devils with 71 rushing yards and both touchdowns. Defensively Nic Butler led the team with 9 tackles and was followed closely by Ezra Anderson with 8 Tackles. Next week Calhoun will travel to Wahama Middle school on Thursday evening looking to get into the Win column.
