Calhoun School Board Recognizes Staff and Youth Achievements

Superintendent Kelli Whytsell recognizes Barb Norm for going above and beyond when creating a handicap space
Hortz Motz recognizes the Calhoun Gilmer Career Center Instructor Liljon McCormick and students Alex White, Pepper McCormick and hunter Seubert (not present) for being the WV Hospitality Cup Winners, a state wide competition.

Students recognized were:

  • Lana Laughlin and Holly Carper, All Conference Basketball Cheerleaders
  • Science Fair County Winners: Tyler Mayle, Jakob Tanner, Brystol Hoskins, Sadie McGlothlin, Paisley Harper, Bronson Smith, Allianna Hill- 1st place Reional, Cyrus Helmick – 1st place Regional and 2nd place State.
  • Math Field Day: Josie Montgomery, Jaelyn Jett, Mason Siwicki, Owen Taylor, Lauren Lovejoy, Camron Jarivs, Alex Anderson, Killian Kimble, maddison McCumbers, Emily Basnett, Josie Richards, Tucker Sampson, Coby Staples, Greyson Hill, Kelbie Johnson, Ellie Hall, Luke Strange-Paylor, Mason Cunningham, Levi Morris – Calhoun Regional High Score grades 10-12, Clay Allison – Calhoun regional high score grades 6-9

For further information on decisions made during the evening, see the agenda posted on Ridgeview News on April 19th. All other matters had very little discussion and were passed quickly.
