
In a complaint filed by Deputy H.M. Stephens on May 19th, 2025, she stated that on 04/29/2025, she was dispatched to investigate a breaking and entering complaint at the Yellow Creek Compression Station on Klipstine Road. While on scene, she observed that a person-sized hole had been cut in the chain link fence surrounding the premises as well as several items scattered on the ground of the premises and within the office building. The building’s doors were ajar and several items inside were scattered on the floor.
Station employees showed Deputy Stephens several locations inside the building where they had stored large tools that were now missing. The manager compiled a list of the missing items and provided it to the officer, with a total value of the missing items being over $1,000. The manager also provided still video footage showing a male individual inside the fenced premises
from approximately 11:05 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on 04/28/2025.
The individual in the footage was identified as Daniel Mark
Johnson and a search warrant was obtained for his residence at 162 Last Fork Road. During the execution of the.
warrant, several of the stolen items were recovered on Mr. Johnson’s property.
A warrant was issued and Mr. Johnson is currently incarcerated in the WV Central Jail having been charged with grand larceny and breaking /and entering with intent to commit a felony/larceny. These events occurred within the geographical boundaries of Calhoun County, WV.
Daniel Johnson is also being held for Capias’ in Doddridge and Ritchie Counties with bonds as stated below:
