Caution Advised when traveling Calhoun Roads tonight, flooding and debris in multiple areas

Heavy thunderstorms with downpours this evening in the Arnoldsburg area brought waters once again out of their banks causing residents along 33/119 to keep a close eye on levels around their homes and forced Calhoun County EMS to evacuate their station. Not the only troubles for Emergency Services when the the 911 Center took a power surge downing their Frontier Lines and causing the need for Emergency calls to be transferred to Roane County.

Julie Sears, OES director said there had been additional reports of flooding in the Daniels Run area.

Calhoun Emergency Services staged in the wide spot going up Millstone hill.

Along the road to view Arnoldsburgs’ issues there were several spots where debris and gravel stretched across both lanes of the highways from ditch-line and culvert overflows which could cause travelers some issues if not paying close attention.
