Calhoun Middle High School students, under the direction of Wendy Batton, saluted local veterans in a very touching program. Student read essays and poetry on what Veterans Day meant to them, CMHS Band played the National Anthem, which was sang beautifully by Allie Ogle.
Those reading the importance of Veterans Day were: Brooke Tingler, Reagan Morgan, Chandler Cottrell, Harlow Sarratori, Riley Holbert and Camry Parsons.
The program also featured:
- Miss Addison Welch describing the meaning behind the items on the Veteran’s Table.
- Veterans poems were read by Madison Jones and Sydney Goff.

- Flag folding ceremony performed by Olivia Zwoll and Madison Jones.
- Bugler Taps played by Destiny Langford
Following the ceremony the veterans were invited to lunch in the school cafeteria.
