Creston News

Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church.

The Creston Community Building Veteran’s Day event was celebrated Sunday November 6.  Speakers were Sen. Donna Boley & Sen. Mike Azinger, Jerry Smith, a veteran who, along with his wife, works with veterans who have stressful situations & active duty marine Kyle Hudson who is the son-in-law of Jimmy Henthorn who is now a young 85 and was sporting two shiners.  One will have to ask Jimmy about the details.  Both before & after the meeting folks visited, shared memories and generally had a good time.  The Moth Man & his lovely wife motored over from Freeport for the event.  He noted that for two weeks he went to the Creston school.  It should be noted that the Hudson children headed first for the Creston merry go ’round as have generations of Creston & Creston connected folks.  Jimmy Henthorn’s grandparents were Ira & Ella Campbell Baker who lived at the mouth of Pete’s Run.

The government mandated fast time finally came to an end.

The Creston area has enjoyed balmy weather which, of course, is nice.

Supply chain problems continue to plague the nation.  In Grantsville there was no head lettuce and both locally & in Ohio Amish country there is a “shortage ” of chicken wings.  The waitress noted that her neighbor’s chickens all still had wings so it is not that “new” chickens don’t have wings.  There is quite a bit of concern about a proposed shortage of diesel and the economic chaos that would entail and such would only exacerbate the rampant inflation.  It was noted that the energy inflation was by design.  Some years ago the Big Eared One said gasolene should be $10/gallon to force the peasants to use public transportation.  Cheap gasolene is the result of a vibrant free market economy that allowed folks of ordinary means to travel about much like the elites do.  To have the great reset fossil fuels must be made unpopular so they must be made expensive and hard to get and hard to get to the market.  Little Mayor Pete said “the more pain from the high price of gas” the more it benefits the switch to . . . . the preferred electric vehicles.  How much of your pain will be enough for Mayor Pete?  Not enough yet.  Gasolene on Wednesday in Strasburg Ohio was $3.99.9/gallon.  It matters not that the electric grid will not support a fleet of electric cars especially when coal plants are closed with no subsititue.  It was noted that t he Utica natural gas fired power plant up along I-77 in Ohio is now in operation but others are being blocked.

Al Gore, Jr. the big buffoon who claims to be an expert on science [remember, he invented the internet], said the Artic Ocean would be ice free in the summer.  Well, now according to reports there was 10% more ice this summer than the five year average.  He also claimed that the oceans would flood coastal cities yet he owns coastal mansions.

One day last week the senile fellow said that all the coal plants in the nation needed to be shut down even though there have not been any pixie dust factories built to keep the economy humming, the lights on, the factories operating, the water & sewer plants running, stop lights working, etc.

Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum, the globalist outfit that wants to rule the world has a right hand man named Yural Harari who has a new book out that asks why does the world need so many people?  The recent suggestion is going from 8 billion to 500 million souls by means that would make Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot & Mao Tse Tung look like pikers.  The transhumanists [modern eugenicists] have been working with big tech & big Pharma to make injections [vaccines] that will alter minds and likely shut down key systems when a signal is sent.  We are living in scary times.  Presently population control is by infanticide, virus, war, starvation & pestilence.

Ted Grim & Debbie McCracken are spending some time at his place in Creston.

Jack Griffin was consulting with Dr. Dan Cain who also has been on the sick list.  There seems to be an excess of ticks for this time of year.

Riley Moore will be the speaker at the [Sen. Donna] Boley breakfast on Veteran’s Day November 11 at Cheryl’s Country Diner on W. Va. 47.  He has been facilitating the Hope Scholarships and has dropped the hammer on Black Rock and ESG.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude rose to $91.61/bbl. with condensate fetching $75.61/bbl. & Marcellus & Utica light bringing $82.61 & medium $91.61/bbl.  Henry Hub [Louisiana] natural gas was $6.40/mmbtu. [dekatherm] with gas on the Dominion (DTI) system fetching $5.506/mmbtu. and on the Columbia (TCO) system at $5.601/mmbtu.  Y grade liquids from the fractionation plants fetched $33.235/bbl.  A new horizontal well has been permitted in Gilmer County.  New horizontal wells in Lewis & Marshall counties have been spectacular.
