Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church.
The Creston area continues to have hot summer weather. The green weenies keep claiming fossil fuels are causing “global warming” because of the release of CO2 into the atmosphere. A new report in Science Direct confirmed a study last year showing that increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere does not have any impact on temperature and , it is clear, that the climate hoaxers know this is true. The level of CO2 that would cause warming is 300 ppm(parts per million) & the present level is 400. The last time such was the level wild horses & camels lived in the high artic and the oceans were 9 feet lower.
A world study of energy showed that in 2023 82.5% of the world’s energy came from fossil fuels and 2.3% came from the much hyped wind & solar. There were no figures as to how much came from “pixie dust” but the amount was likely very low.
Teresa Heinz Kerry (the rich widow that John married) announced an additional $9.3 million to fight the use of fossil fuels. Along those lines there has been an attack against the proposed modifications of the power plant in Pleasants County. Presently a 20 inch gas line is being laid to the facility.
Local residents are concerned about the attempted assassination of former president Trump by those in the deep state and the one world order/new world order folks. The one world order folks who say we’ll have nothing and be happy have now announced that, under their wonderful new plan, clothes will only be washed once a month – gotta save water you know.
Former State Senate president Smiley Carmichaels gave a talk at the Boley Breakfast at Cheryl’s Friday. He noted all sorts of improvements in the state’s economics rating W. Va. As #1 in various items. On business friendly W. Va. Went from 49 to 17 and on workforce participation W. Va. still rates #47 with a large number of residents who do not participate in the work force [and are kept by those who do work]. He said that, maybe, perhaps there would be a fertilizer plant in McDowell County to utilize the vast amount of natural gas that is being produced in the state and is being shipped overseas to profit not West Virginia nor its citizens. Presently the LNG business is at 52.9 bcf [billion cubic feet]/day. The Henry Hub price dipped to $2.268 while gas in West Virginia went for $1.62/mcf. Thus for each thousand cubic feet of gas sold one could buy two first class stamps with a little left over. Back when gas sold for 20 cents one could buy 6 first class stamps and two penny post cards. Over the weekend postage went up 5 cents to 73 cents for a letter.
Rusty Hutson Jr. who has Diversified Energy and owns tens of thousands of oil & gas wells in W. Va. another purchase of wells in east Texas. Are futures brighter now down in the Lone Star State?
One reads that federal agencies are very busy registering illegal aliens to vote in the November election.
A bald eagle was seen feeding on carrion out on the Creston Flats. Some while back a fellow who lives over on the other side of the county was in his house looking at his sheep cote where one of his ewes had just had twins. In a flash an eagle swooped down and carried one of the lambs away.
A main line protestant church has enacted new rules that allow for several situations that “are frowned upon” in Bible teachings including infanticide which would, perhaps, indicate worship of Molech. Some congregations are considering leaving the denomination but the “church leaders” who might be compared to the scribes & pharisees of New Testament times, say, “Oh no, you can’t do that! There were trust agreements signed decades or centuries ago and we own the buildings. Bow down & worship us.” The legislature is being asked in the August special session to address this issue voiding such agreements that are, say 30 years old or older that had previously been forgotten & overlooked. Perhaps the Legislature can actually do something for the state’s residents.
Wilma & Kim Mowrey & other family members attended a family wedding up in Ohio.
The price of Pennsylvania grade crude oil is $81.62/bbl. With condensate fetching $63.62/bbl. And Marcellus & Utica light bringing $70.62/bbl.
