Some folks have been using kayaks to travel in the river which is low.  Drought conditions continue for the area.  Folks who had been in Ohio & Pennsylvania noted that most of the soya beans & corn looked like there had been more rain there.  On the local scene, some may have to feed hay this summer as pastures are turning brown.

National news has been a major topic of discussion.  It was noted that the Russian hoax didn’t work, the impeachments didn’t work, the attempt to bankrupt didn’t work, the lawfare & dubious indictments didn’t work and now the assassination attempt didn’t work. The gas utility in our nation’s capitol noted that there is an urgent need to replace old leaking gas lines [such as is being done in many communities] but the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and an Indian tribe from Nova Scotia have objected.  Could it be that leaking gas lines are “good for the environment?”
