Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church & served Holy Communion. He is scheduled for a cardiac procedure on Tuesday and he will not be out and about next Sunday.
The local area had more rain making some streams muddy.
Freddie Bush & associates have been cutting second cutting hay in the Creston area. The rain has made excellent hay which will be tasty food for cattle when the snow is flying. It was noted that the increased CO2 in the atmosphere has caused world wide a 20% increase in vegetation; certainly a good thing. Along those lines concerning all the hoopla about “it being too hot”. Seems the “purer than driven snow” experts in the US government have been caught fudging numbers again. However, if one goes back to data printed some years back the mid 1930s in America remain the hottest ever recorded temperatures.
Bradin Ferrell & Josiah Ferrel McAbee were awarded AACS Superior student rating for 2023. AACS stands for American Association of Christian Schools and the Creston scholars attend the facility in Brooksville.
Alvin Engelke still has some lovable little kittens that need some small children to take them home & love them. They love to be petted and want to play.
A number of Creston residents as well as folks from other sections of Wirt County attended the W. Va. State Republican Executive Committee meeting in Summersville. The noon speaker was W. Va. State Treasurer Riley Moore who talked about divesting state funds from outfits like Black Rock that oppose “fossil fuels”, pipelines, etc. Also on the bad list were JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs & Morgan Stanley. US Banks recanted and said that they would provide banking & financial assistance for those producing the products that make modern living possible. Several other states have followed W. Va.’s lead in not financing those who want to destroy us. Moore noted that in 1980 world wide 40% of electricity was generated by coal. Now it is 45% as China & India have been busy building more coal fired power plants while America is committing energy suicide by going to Chinese built wind mills & solar panels and the proposed use of pixie dust. It was also noted that in W. Va. 85.3% of electric comes from coal & 4% is generated by natural gas.
SpaceX, an obviously cutting edge firm has been sued now by the Ruling Junta because the firm hired American citizens, not illegal aliens, likely very few of which are trained in aerospace technology but Elon Musk has offended the rulers and they want revenge.
Our betters are now talking again about mask mandates and forced vaccinations of everyone by the new “virus vaccines”. The ones forced on folks earlier have caused untold numbers of deaths, deaths of pilot while flying commercial aircraft, etc. It is understood that the drastic increase in myocarditis in boys & young men is not a fixable condition. One always has to remember that Bill Gates is involved in all of this and he wants to reduce the population of the planet and we are “the great unwashed”.
It was learned that FEMA has gone to Hawaii to help and 500 are staying in the posh hotels at $1,500/night or much more. The FEMA head said that her agency needs more money. It is understood that hundreds of more bodies have been found there awaiting identification and , apparently, one is not to talk about how the fire started but the firemen had to wait 5 hours to get permission to use water to fight the blaze as there was a question of equity. To put matters into perspective, illegal aliens get $2,200/month and the burned out folks in Hawaii got a one time payment of $700.
There has been a lot of talk about the renewed work on EQT’s Mountain Valley Pipeline. Now it is learned that it will be later next year before it is in operation.
Barb Wright is scheduled for the removal of a kidney stone on Monday.
The Creston Area Neighborhood Watch will have a litter pickup on Saturday, September 9. Workers should be at the home of Carl and Donna Ferrell at 9 A. M.
The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil is $78.83/bbl. with condensate fetching just $60.83.bbl. Marcellus & UTICA light is $69.83 and medium $78.83/bbl. The Henry Hub price of natural gas is $2.638/dekatherm while the DTI (Dominion system) price is $1.218 [prior to deductions] and TCO (Columbia Gas system) is $1.496 [again before deductions]. Y grade gas liquids from the fractionation plants fetch $26.102/bbl. and it was announced that the DTI price for September natural gas will be in the 80 to 90 cent range, again before deductions leaving perhaps a net of 20 cents. Those “sharp fellers” down at the Mouth of the Elk who are counting on big severance tax checks to finance their schemes might do well to take note of the reality that is about to hit them up the side of the head.
