Creston News: Frontier has folks at the mercy of those who don’t care and are not answerable to anyone

Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M.  E.  church.

Creston Neighborhood Watch is Monday, October 9 at 6 P. M. at the Community Building.

Several area residents were involved in Pioneer Days in Elizabeth. Next week it is the Black Walnut Festival in Spencer.

It was learned that Francis Lockhart Jr. passed away.  He had been fighting cancer.

The Creston Halloween Party is scheduled for October 28.  Donations of candy & help are appreciated.  Over time the occasion has been one of the most consequential social events of the year for the party is for children of all ages and adults can dress up and “be somebody”.  In the past presidents have called as well as celebrities such as the “very trashy” Kardashian sisters. They didn’t even wear clean clothes.

Debbie Griffin & Nancy Engelke were both consulting with their medical experts.  Nancy received a good report while Debbie is still awaiting news.

The bridge crew has been working on the W. Va. 5 span across the Little Kanawha.  They were welding on the beams on the dePue side.  Such gives one that warm fuzzy feeling of confidence [doesn’t it?]

Chase who now lives down in the sunny south is visiting family at Shade Tree.

Cooler weather has come to Creston.  Obviously, the world is not on fire as the con men claim. Of course what they are after is money [like Al Gore, Jr.] and control like Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum.

Some years back Madame Hillary said those who didn’t support her were all sorts of names & a basket of deplorables.  Now, she had doubled down calling for formal deprogramming of those that believe America is the best nation ever on the planet.  This would be done in “reeducation camps”.  Now the FBI & the IRS are going after [as enemies of the state] those who profess to support Christ and Trump.  The IRS has 430,000 pages of references to “Bible”, “Christian”, “Word of God” & “Prayer”.  Some might want to read how it worked out when “good king Nebuchadnezzar” tried that.

There have been a number of oil & gas wells plugged down in Rock Run.  Much of the new plugging activity has been funded by the taxpayers.

West Virginia’s governor continues to make the news.  Now federal marshals were sent to seize his helicopter for partial payment on a $10 million judgement by a Russian oligarch.  It’s clear why Mitch McConnell & the deep state folks want him to represent West Virginia in the US Senate.

Rusty Hutson who now owns more W. Va. wells than anyone else told Forbes that now he feels that the future is brighter on the Gulf Coast than it is in his home country.  Gas sold on the DTI (Mother Hope) system is now [after deduction] maybe 60 cents/MMBTU.  The story has been that we can’t get our gas to market because of pipeline paucity but others note that in the Permian gas is being given away to get the oil.  Exxon, the Rockefeller family flagship company, announced the purchase of Pioneer Natural Resources, a big player in the Permian, for a mere $60 billion.

TransCanada, the firm that has the big pipeline between Creston & Burning Springs that takes 2 bcf/day to the gulf for export as LNG and has numerous gas storage fields &12,000 miles of pipe announced the sale of 40% of the Columbia Gas part of their empire to Global Infrastructure partners for $3.9 billion.  US exports of LNG set another new record.  The company was trying to acquire more acres for “storage” by “offering” $50/acre for Oriskany & Marcellus with all contents.  The threat is federal court if you don’t comply for they operate for the common good, don’t you know.

Back in March it was said that that HG Energy, based in Parkersburg was on the market for $3 billion.  Houston based Quantum Energy had funded an aggressive Marcellus drilling program. Now, it is said that Antero is to buy the company.  Quantum had funded Tug Hill and now it is owned by EQT.

The Calhoun County Bank was closed Oct. 9 for Columbus Day but Wesbanco was closed for Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Last week the Wild Frontier Telephone Company’s internet service went out causing locals who use such in their office work to be left high & dry.  A call to the company resulted with one talking to Festus who emphasized that it was not his department but that, yes, there were skirmishes with the Indians on the lines.  He suggested talking with Miss Kitty but she explained that was “not her line of work”.  It quickly became obvious that local folks are at the mercy of folks who really don’t care and do not have to answer to anyone.  Seems the PSC’s job is to take care of the companies needs, not the needs & problems of the citizens & taxpayers.

The ruling junta claimed that they are not really trying to ban gas stoves [cooking with gas] but now the same fine folks are going after natural gas furnaces.  The same government that blew up natural gas pipelines claims to be concerned about fumes from furnaces.

Some seemed surprised that the “peaceable” Arab terrorists attacked Israel. They thanked Ukraine for selling them arms and some think that the weapons left by the senile one in Afghanistan have made their way to try to destroy Israel.  Also our government resumed “economic aid” to the terror groups as the Big Eared One obviously hates Israel and his head advisor, Valerie Jarrett, was born in Tehran.  One might want to read about those who choose to stand against Israel.  Code Pink & the “squad” have said where they stand & one should note who stands with them.

The mischief from the legislature’s giving the big boys the right to force pool properties without adequate [fair] lease terms for world class oil & gas formations.  It would seem that the Clintons, the Obamas & the Bidens are not the only ones who used government to become wealthy. The initial offer/demand was 15% & then an offer of 19% if no payments for the liquids [the valuable part] with the royalty based on payment by BTU on a rather fictional price but subject to payment of severance taxes.  One might wonder if the severance & ad valorem taxes would be likewise be based on fictional prices.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude fell to $81/79bbl. [from $89.03/bbl.] with condensate, formerly called Appalachian light sweet fetching $63.79.bbl while Marcellus & Utica light was $72.79 & medium $81.79/bbl.
