Creston News Week of December 23

A visitor from the polar regions came to the Creston community Christmas party Saturday night much to the delight of the more than 70 present for the occasion. It had been reported that the Grinch had planned to spoil the party but, according  to report, Rudolph threatened to kick him where it would really hurt. Obviously Mr. Grinch went to visit the folks who were up Salt River on the tee vee stations.

Tom Mowrey who had been on the sick list passed away.  Some while back he was in a car wreck [not his doing] and he never really recovered but suffered from Parkinson’s disease.

Kathleen Cervonne & Barbara Wright participated in the Minnie Hamilton Christmas Party.  Charles Russell was elated to see them there.  Not so long back Kathleen & Barb were visiting Jimmy Wright up in Ohio.

John Griffin was calling on Charles Russell & buddies at the Minnie Hamilton Extended Care Unit.

The DEP had a big “raid” in Creston with the area crawling with agents.  Brings to mind the song, “there was G-men, T-men, Revenuers too all a lookin’ for where they hid that brew”.

The Momentum Pipe Line crew did some work on the Blue Monday well at Annamoriah.

The senile one handed out a whole bunch of pardons, some went to Chinese spies which is to be expected and then there were pardons for corrupt judges & drug kingpins so money talks, like when the Rodham boys (Hillary’s brothers) brought in customers for Bill’s big pardon sale.

It was reported that someone in W, Va. State government wanted the Tawney case set aside.  No other case was so significant to help state residents who were being robbed by the boys who also robbed the state and the various impacted counties.

A recent report showed that Pennsylvania, West Virginia & Ohio produced almost one third of the natural gas in the nation and “our leaders” down at the mouth of the Elk refuse to modernize the tax laws to stop cheating.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil slipped to $68.45/bbl. While condensate brought $50.46/bbl. And Marcellus & Utica light brought $57.46/bbl.  The NYMEX natural gas price jumped to $3.85/MMBTU.

It is reported that now there is “wildcatting” in the oil window of the Utica in Ohio now that the mystery is solved on how to recover the oil from the formation.  It should be noted that the oil window of the Utica goes all the way through West Virginia to Mercer County.
