Creston’s Historical Memories Align with Today’s Historical Decisions

There was a celebration in Creston Saturday on the occasion of the centennial of the Creston Building, formerly the Creston school.  Nowadays sophisticated educators hold community based schools in contempt since those allow for lots of parent and community participation and folks like Mrs. Weingarten don’t want parents to know just what the scholars are being taught as there would be, at the very least, a revolt.  Marie Park Snyder, age 92, was the oldest and Bradley & Bethel Stutler drove the furtherst to attend the event although Ted Grim who lives in Erie Pennsylvania helped put on the event.  It was noted to the attendees that the late Hiram Campell who was a Union veteran of the Civil War and who, in later years lived where the Russell family lived, was charged during WWI by the Woodrow Wilson progressives under the same law that was used to indict President Trump.  Hi’s great grandson, Jimmy Henthorn, who lives in Zanesville, along with some of his family, learned about his ancestor’s scrape with Big Brother.  The government men who had come to Creston to show pictures of German soldiers roasting Belgian babies on spits wanted to take Mr. Campbell away with them to put him in Wilson’s special prison but the residents of Creston, realizing the gravity of the situation, make it clear to the government men that “it might be well for them to get back on the boat, leave town and never come back”.  Many former students, friends & family spent the afternoon visiting and meeting new friends. So, one might ask, “What was Hi Campbell’s crime?”  He dared to question the veracity of the pictures being shown by the government men.  Remember what happened to those who dared to say that ivermectin & hydroxychloroquine worked to treat Dr. Fauci’s virus that was made in the germ warfare lab in Wuhan that was funded by US tax payers.

Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church.

The Midnight Supply Corp. was attending to business recently on Ground Hog.  They must have had orders to fill as they even took the hot water heater.

Kathleen Cervone’s sister Linda who lives up near Columbus is battling cancer.

Rev. Craig Blankenship who now lives in Wheeling had his foot amputated after an infection in his ankle could not be whipped.

Curtis “Cooter” Marks had a close scrape with death when he rolled a riding lawn mower.  He has broken vertebrae and a broken pelvis.

Jerry Poling was attending to business in Elizabeth.

Barbara Wright is having another bout with the shingles and Betty Bish is scheduled to have surgery Jul y 17th.

Sonny Burdette has been checking out routes for the next Creston poker run which is scheduled for July 29.

The Public Service Commission [the outfit that is supposed to protect the citizens from the utilities] is working on a rate increase for Mon Power, the firm that sends electricity to Creston.  Recently the power plant in Pleasants County was idled and Mon Power which is part of First Energy from Akron is having to pay, no doubt, for tax fraud after being caught in a $61 million dollar bribe in Ohio [bribes are not tax deductible].  We can only guess at what is included in the bills but, for sure, the cost of maintaining idle power plants is included.  First Energy wants a 15% jump.  A place out in Nebraska went along on the “green energy” bandwagon and installed a bunch of solar panels.  Then there was a hailstorm and now the entire thing is in ruins.  Maybe next time they should try pixie dust.

As a result of well placed payments and an open border it is now clear that there are at least 10,000 men in the nation that very likely are members of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army.  Is one allowed to ask why?  Would it be to create terror in the homeland when war breaks out in Asia?

Jerry Riggs, Cap’n & Mrs. Spock were all dining at Mary B’s on south side.

Local folks attended the Fireman’s event in Elizabeth and others went to the events held in Ripley.

It was noted that Dog Days set in wet and Creston continues to have rain.

Chris Wright who is CEO of Liberty Energy stated the obvious the other day that calling CO2 a pollutant is “outrageous” as it is needed for 99.9% of all life on the planet.  Green plants use CO2 to make carbohydrates and then, in turn, all the food & fib er found on the planet.  Some coarse plants are eaten by herbivores that convert inedible plants to tasty meat that feeds millions world wide.  Of course Bill Gates and his buddies want all that to stop as the peasants do not deserve to live so well.

The rulers up in Canada said they were going to let the forest fires there burn until at least August but the green weenies are still after wood & coal fired pizza ovens that might damage the environment.  These new rules [written in 2016 but now being enforced] also impact matzah bakers.  It is the unleavened bread that the Hebrew children are to eat during Passover as was done when they fled Egypt.  One New York City baker had to spend $600,000 to satisfy his “neighbors” and the rules.  Small business need not apply.

Chuck & Sandy Richter came to the Creston celebration and they talked about his work checking Gypsy moth traps in the northern panhandle.  While eating at a diner in Cameron they met with some of Sandy’s Whipkey kinfolk who live there.

The World Economic Forum {WEF} continues to push for a cashless world economy so folks will not have money that they control.  Under the new rules you will only buy what you are allowed and only from those who “are in the system”.  One will not have to be labeled 666 then.

The ruling elites are furious that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is being given the time of day since he had the audacity to question “Big Pharma”.  One is not allowed to ask if the increase in autism is related to new mandated vaccines for small children.  How dare you ask about trials, control groups, scientific results. Pfizer , their buddies and those on their payroll wage war against those who ask any questions.  During the recent pandemic many, many folks died as treatments were not allowed to be used to save lives.  One woman noted that she & her daughter came down with the covid but they both got the antibodies and immediately got better and then the treatments were banned.

Jack Griffin, along with John & Debbie, were calling on Charles Russell at the extended care unit at Minnie Hamilton.  Both Jack & Charlie were very happy.

Wilma Mowrey attended a family reunion and her daughter Kim is having health problems again.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil rose to $72.86/bbl. with condensate, formerly called Appalachian light sweet, fetching  $56.86/bbl. while Marcellus & Utica light brought $63.86 and medium $72.86/bbl.
