Darrell Eustace Sampson, 77, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
He was born January 2, 1948, a son of the late William H. and Mittie A. Hathaway Sampson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son Scotty Sampson, sisters Patty Dawson, Marie Diron, and infant sister Jewel.
He worked in the oil filed and he took care of his mother until she passed.
Darrell loved spending time with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy!
He is survived by daughter Chelsey L. Sampson, son Jessie Darrell Sampson, brothers Gerald Sampson and Doyle Sampson, nephew Ron Dawson, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many other family members.
Per Darrell’s wishes, he has been cremated and there will not be a funeral service.
