Doy Gene Hannah, 73, of Chloe, WV, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the home of Ermal and Patricia Vaughan.
He was born on October 28, 1950, at O’Brien, WV, a son of the late Carrie Keener and Tishie Hannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Powell.
Doy loved the outdoors, hunting, gardening, flowers, and wild animals. Doy was a great father, son, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa, and a great friend. He would help anyone that asked.
Left to cherish his memories are daughters Marie (Tim) Leach of Wooster, Ohio; Jeni (Larry) Jones of Sutton, WV; and Patti Gainer of Doylestown, Ohio; sons Doy (Amanda) Hannah of Chloe, WV and Michael (Cassidy) Hannah of Mt. Zion, WV; brothers Junior (Leta) Hannah of Marathon, FL; Jerry Hannah of Chloe, WV and Darrell Keener of Wooster, Ohio; Donald Hannah of Orma, WV; sisters Bev (Mike) Conley of Chloe, WV; Jeannie (Chuck) Harmon of Zanesville, Ohio; and Faye (Brian) Prince of Zanesville, Ohio; companion Patricia Vaughan and her mother Ermal; special friend Jim Metheney; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.
In keeping with his wishes, Doy will be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at John Duffield Cemetery, Duck, WV, on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Daniel Tanner officiating.
