On March 18th, 2025, Emberlyn “Emmy” “Sissy Girl” Fae Knicley peacefully went to sleep in her mommy’s arms one last time, with her daddy by her side.
Preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Dora “Kay” Riggs, and great-grandfather, Noah Lee Knicley, we have no doubt she was welcomed to Heaven with wide open arms.
In death, Emmy left behind her mother, Erika, and her father, Russell Knicley, Jr.; a brother, Haesten; paternal grandparents, Trish and Russell Knicley, of Orma, WV; maternal grandparents, Kim and Curt Riggs, of Big Springs, WV; aunts, Brook Knicley, of Orma, WV; Kiersten Knicley, of Cross Lanes, WV; Katie Riggs, of Grantsville, WV; and Nickie Nida, of Mt. Zion, WV; as well as two uncles; great-grandmother Mary (Buddy) Minney, of Glenville, WV; great-grandfather, Michael Riggs, of Big Springs, WV; great-grandfather, Chester (Jessie) Harris, of Jellico, TN; great-grandmother Patricia Knicley, of Spencer, WV; eight 1st cousins; several great-aunts and uncles; as well as numerous extended cousins and many family friends.
In her death, we take comfort in knowing there wasn’t a day she spent on Earth that she didn’t know how loved she was.
