Emma Laine Wilson Vaughn, 98, of Glenville, WV, went to her forever home in Glory on February 26, 2025, at Glenville Center.
She was born November 10, 1926, in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur Brown and Scottie Jean Kelley Wilson.
She married Robert “Bob” Gerald Vaughn and their blended family consisted of three children. They enjoyed many years of marriage before Bob’s passing in 1973. Emma became a Christian in 1984 after seeing the change it made in her daughter, Nalani’s life. She remained faithful to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until the day God called her home.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother Robert Emmet Wilson and three sisters Ernestine Harris, Francis Morgan, and Virginia Gonci.
She is survived by one daughter Winifred Nalani Vaughn Dolpies of Glenville, WV; two sons Larry Alan Barr of Johnson City, TN and Robert “Bob” Noel Vaughn of Chapmanville, WV; three grandchildren Michael Alan Barr, Misha Danelle Maynard, and Joseph “Joey” Gabriel Dolpies; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pleasant Hill UMC Cemetery by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV 26147, on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the graveside service at the Glenville Community Church, 210 Walnut St., Glenville, WV.
