Ernie (Buck) Lee White Obituary

Ernie (Buck) Lee White, 78, of Rosedale, WV, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at his home after a long, hard battle with cancer. 

Buck was born in Frametown, WV on August 11th, 1946. He was the son of the late Eva May White and Ronald W. Carper.

Buck is preceded in death by his loving wife Nelma Elaine Miller White, his brothers Carl White, Donnie White, Forest White, Henry White and his sisters Helen White, Velva Garl, Jessie (Hester) Henry, and Minnie Dawson. 

Left to cherish his memory are his four sons and daughters-in-laws, Mike White and Janet Mazanek of Rosedale, WV, Fredrick and Barbara White of Burnt House, WV, Ermine and Ashley White of Sand Fork, WV, and Sherman and Sue Ann White of Rosedale, WV, his closest nephew Jack White, of North Ridgeville, OH, along with many other nieces and nephews, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Buck spent 8 years serving our county after being drafted at the age of 18. He often spoke of traveling the world and of Germany being one of his favorite places. Hearing him speak of his time in the Army showed his dedication and love for our country. Buck was a remarkable man and a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed, but his memories will be held in our hearts forever.

A graveside service with full military honors for Buck will be directed by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc, Arnoldsburg, WV, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Miller Cemetery by his home in Rosedale.
