The first of what is hoped to be an annual two day event was packed with some of the greatest bluegrass musicians in West Virginia and multiple other States. The Calhoun County barn was filled to the brim both upstairs and down with picking sessions in every corner. Impromptu pop up jam sessions were reminiscent of the Bluegrass Festivals of yesteryear as musicians arrived steadily all day changing the song selections but not the bluegrass flavor.
Well known Bluegrass artist and songwriter Buck McCumbers was one of the many favorites of the day entertaining the crowd along with Bruce and the Rick Falls family.
