In a complaint filed by Deputy H.M. Stephens on December 13, 2024, she stated that on the same date at approximately 4:26 p.m. she had received a phone call from Calhoun Control, advising that a woman at 7502 North Calhoun Highway had called 911 saying that her son Christopher Ferrell was not acting like himself. Before the woman could give Control more information, the phone line was disconnected.
When Deputies C.R. Stephens and H.M. Stephens arrived
at the residence, the caller, Lettie Ferrell, stated that Christopher Ferrell had pulled the line out of the
phone while she was talking to Calhoun Control. Christopher Ferrell also admitted to Deputy C.R. Stephens that he had pulled the cord out and disconnected the phone. This disabled Lettie’s communication with 911 and prevented her from giving them more information.
Ferrell was arrested for interfering with or preventing another person from making an emergency communication.nHe is currently being held at the WV Central Regional Jail the tht charge as well as for a Bond violation and Possession of a controlled substance. He is being held without bond for the bond violation and a $6,000 bond for the two new charges.
