Fire on Klipstine Road Destroys Home of Mom and 2 Children

A structure fire was dispatched to Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department by Calhoun Control at approximately 8:30 a.m. Saturday Morning, May 27th, 2023. The trailer located about 1/2 mile down Klipstine Road, off of North Calhoun Highway, Route 16 , was possibly started with a faulty outlet in the Bedroom.

Ashley Brock and her children, ages 2 and 4, lost everything, escaping only with what they had on.

The Fire Department down the fire in approximately 2 hours and returned to Station 100.

Minnie Hamilton EMS was dispatched as well. The sweet image above was captured of Ashley Truman, EMT carrying Ms. Brock’s children to the ambulance to be checked out.

Very little remained of the structure. Red Cross arrived on seen at the end of the event and will provide some assistance to Ms. Brock and her family.
