OakHill, WV — August 31, 2023 — This summer, the young adventurers of Girl Scout Troop 38205 embarked on an unforgettable journey of courage and camaraderie at the exhilarating Girl Fest event hosted by ACE Adventures in scenic OakHill, West Virginia.
Nine scout members; Lizzy Collins, Emma Ackley, Makenna Cunningham, Jasmine Tingler, Brooke Tingler, Trinity Probasco, Bella Nicholas, Bailey Metz and Carissa Sands, embraced the challenges and excitement offered by ACE Adventures’ array of outdoor activities. The event provided them with the opportunity to not only bond with their fellow troop members but also forge new friendships with girls from various states across the nation.
At the heart of the adventure were the pulse-pounding escapades that captured the essence of the great outdoors. The Girl Scouts fearlessly navigated the rushing waters during an exhilarating white-water rafting session, testing their teamwork and resilience. Additionally, they faced their fears as they embarked on a heart-pounding rappelling experience, where every Scout put on the equipment faced their fears and put their feet over the edge. The girls also showcased their mettle at the mud run, where they conquered obstacles with teamwork while covered head-to-toe in mud, leaving them with unforgettable memories and a true sense of accomplishment.
Troop 38205 demonstrated exceptional spirit, unity, and enthusiasm throughout their ACE Adventures experience. The event not only enabled them to partake in adrenaline-pumping activities but also empowered them to conquer challenges, bolster their self-confidence, and foster lifelong friendships.
Reflecting on their incredible journey, Troop Leader Maggie Probasco shared, “Girl Fest at ACE Adventures was an absolute highlight of our troop’s adventures. Witnessing our girls support and encourage each other through these daring activities was a true testament to their growth and the values of Girl Scouting.”
